Inflatable Seals

Inflatable seals are custom-made using most premium-grade elastomers, with high elongation silicone being our most common.

Northern22 Rubber inflatable rubber seals are produced from precision extruded profiles, ensuring maximum structural integrity.

Each seal is pressure tested before they leave our factory and given a unique number for complete traceability. Our rigorous manufacturing procedure coupled with our insistence in only using the best quality compounds result in you receiving a superior inflatable seal, highly resistant to rupture and tear. Maximise your component life cycle time with Northern22 Rubber inflatable seals.

Radial Out

Radial Out

The seal inflates away from its centre. These can be clamped into place, fitted into a groove, or stretched into position. Common uses for this configuration include airlock door seals and drum/bag filler seals.

Radial In

Radial In

The seal is well suited to clamping applications as well as shaft maintenance and valve seals. Profile types with large inflating distances relative to their size are not well suited to this configuration.

Axial

Axial

Axially configured inflatable seals inflate in the direction perpendicular to the radius of the seal. This configuration is often used in door and hatch seals.
